Three Bridges
This unique site, situated on the meandering Blackwater Swamp, supports giant bald cypress and tupelo. The trees, estimated to be more than 600 years old, help to support habitat for other biological and botanical species within the Blackwater ecosystem in southeastern Virginia. Through a system of trails and canoe access, this site can be enjoyed by future generations. The land was sold to the Virginia Commonwealth's Division of National Heritage by the Hancock Timber Resource Group in 1999.
